Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Diet Aide at RWJUH Somerset to provide nutritional care by assisting with prescribed dietary regimens and coordinating with the diet office and tray service. You will visit patients, collect menu selections, and help ensure meals align with diet orders.

Responsibilities include preparing menus, coordinating tray line meals, handling phones professionally, delivering excellent patient service, and printing meal tickets.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in a health care related facility in a comparable position.
• BS in Nutrition or working toward a degree.

Responsibilities

• Visits patients and gets a menu selection for all meals.
• Prepares menus and coordinates meals for the tray line.
• Ensures all patients receive a meal in compliance with their diet order.
• Answers phones in a timely and professional manner.
• Prints meal tickets and coordinates service for patients' meals.
