Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health's RWJUH Hamilton Hospital is seeking a Diet Aide for day shifts in the Dietary-Management department. This per-diem, hourly role supports patient meals and food service operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

You will enter patient meal orders, verify diets and allergies, coordinate with staff for accurate delivery, and assist with Meals-on-Wheels tasks. Weekend/holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Food service experience preferred in healthcare or food service settings.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Enter patient meal orders into the computer system and verify diet, allergies, and preferences.
• Coordinate with patients, staff, and kitchen to ensure accurate meal delivery.
• Escalate concerns to appropriate staff and assist with Meals-on-Wheels tasks.
