RWJBarnabas Health's RWJUH Rahway Hospital seeks a Menu Technician in the Dietary-Management department. You will work directly with patients to help them select meals that meet their individual needs and prescribed diets, delivering attentive customer service and accurate order entry.

You will enter menu selections into the Room Service system, verify meals align with physician diets, process dietary orders, and update systems with patient changes, while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with computer-based patient information systems is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow prescribed diets precisely.
• Team player able to collaborate with patients, families and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Assist patients by telephone and at the bedside with selecting and ordering meals.
• Enter menu selections into the Room Service computer system and generate accurate meal tickets.
• Ensure meal selections align with physician-prescribed diets and the Nutrition Care Manual.
• Process dietary orders accurately and timely through the order entry system.
• Update Room Service systems based on diet requisitions and patient information.
• Utilize electronic patient information systems to locate patients and confirm diet orders.
