RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Diet Aide at RWJUH Hamilton Hospital to support patient meals and nutrition services in the Dietary-Management department. This hourly, per-diem day position emphasizes accurate order entry, food safety, and teamwork in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include entering meal orders, verifying diets and allergies, coordinating with patients and staff for timely delivery, and assisting with Meals-on-Wheels tasks as needed.

Qualificações

• Food service and customer service experience preferred.

• Assemble menu tickets for Meals-on-Wheels clients.
• Prepare and assemble cold meals for Meals-on-Wheels clients.
• Communicate between the food & nutrition department, patient, and nursing staff.

Pay Range: $15.97 - $18.35 per hour

The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

As a Diet Aide, you'll play an important role in creating a positive experience for our patients, visitors, and team members. Your commitment to food service excellence, teamwork, and customer service directly contributes to the exceptional patient experience that defines RWJBarnabas Health.

Typical day might include the following:

• Entering patient non-selected and pre-selected meal orders into the computer system while verifying diet, food allergies, preferences, restrictions
• Communicating with patients, other staff, or visitors to obtain meal orders for delivery
• Communicating with appropriate staff to ensure accurate meal delivery to patients and escalating any concerns
• Notifying dietitian if a patient refuses 3 meals
• Assembling menu tickets for Meals-on-Wheels clients
• Preparing and assembling cold meals for Meals-on-Wheels clients
• Communicating between food & nutrition department, the patient, and nursing staff
