Qualifications

• Current RN license is required and active.
• BSN preferred or higher nursing degree.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required or obtained upon hire.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; supervisory/leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support for the department's service functions.
• In the absence of the Director/Manager, assume administrative scope of the unit.
• Develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee orientation and training of personnel within the department.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
• Ensure quality of staff and functions during the shift; supervise and evaluate personnel.
• Assist the Department Director in daily operations and staff management.
• Ensure efficient department operations and resource utilization.
• Perform direct patient care as needed within scope of practice.
• Continuously assess care and guide staff to adjust the care plan.
