Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor for the Float Pool. This role supports department administration, oversees staff, and collaborates with the unit Director to ensure high-quality patient care during night shifts.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• PALS and/or ENPC required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care; supervisory/leadership preferred.
• Trauma/ED certifications (TNCC/CEN) preferred within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative leadership for the department during shifts.
• Collaborate with unit Director/Manager and assume administrative scope in their absence.
• Develop and implement departmental plans and performance improvement activities.
• Oversee orientation and training of personnel.
• Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration in writing and verbally.
• Ensure efficient department function and proper use of staff and resources.
• Direct patient care when needed within scope of practice; monitor and adjust care plans.
