Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nursing Student for the Progressive Care Unit at Anderson Hospital to provide direct patient care under RN supervision and gain clinical experience through job shadowing and nursing tasks aligned with policy and patient safety.

The position supports learning in a faith-based care environment, emphasizing compassion, teamwork and professional growth for nursing students enrolled in a program and completing clinical rotations.

Qualifications

• HS/GED required
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program and has completed one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation required
• EPIC EHR training preferred

Responsabilités

• Under direction of the RN, supports the nurse in the application of the nursing process.
• Develops critical thinking skills through collaboration with the RN to ensure quality patient care.
• Provides basic patient care including care and comfort, vital signs, personal hygiene and mobility.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Provides high level customer service to patients, family, visitors and staff.
• Documents accurately and timely for patient care.
• Participates in hand-off/report of pertinent information upon arrival and departure.
• Performs delegated tasks once competency is validated.
• Assists in patient data collection and documentation such as vital signs and intake/output.
• Assists with daily living activities and patient mobility.
• Demonstrates appropriate use of clinical technology and escalates concerns via chain of command.
