Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Clinical Nursing Student (LPN) to support med surg care at the Springfield Regional Medical Center on a PRN basis. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, gaining clinical experience and contributing to patient care within scope.

You must be enrolled in a nursing program, have completed at least one clinical nursing course, and be prepared to participate in basic patient care tasks while maintaining documentation standards and patient

Qualifications

• HS/GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program with at least one clinical nursing course completed.
• BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with nursing process and patient care.
• Document vital signs and care provided.
• Support patient comfort and hygiene activities.
• Serve as liaison between patient and nurse and report changes.
• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and families.
• Ensure accurate documentation for patient care events.
• Assist with hand-offs and reporting when moving units.
• Follow unit policies and infection control guidelines.
