Job summary

Mercy Health's St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital seeks a Clinical Nursing Student to provide direct patient care under RN supervision, gaining clinical experience and exposure through job shadowing and delegated care within policy and regulatory guidelines.

The role requires current enrollment in a nursing program with completion of at least one clinical course and rotation; HS/GED is required. BLS is preferred, and trainees will work across shifts in a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• The candidate must be in nursing school and have completed one clinical nursing course and one clinical rotation.
• Basic patient care duties and documentation may be performed under supervision.
• BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the RN, supports nursing process implementation.
• Develops critical thinking through collaboration with the RN to ensure quality care.
• Provides basic patient care including vital signs, hygiene, and mobility.
• Maintains accurate, timely documentation of care provided.
