Job summary

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate (PhD or DNP) at time of appointment.
• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of TN or eligibility for RN licensure in Tennessee.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing practice experience.
• Effective interpersonal skills and cultural competence.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate nursing courses as assigned; teaching may span programs and levels.
• Supervise nursing students as assigned.
• Collaborate with clinical agencies to arrange student clinical experiences.
• Revise courses to reflect program outcomes, AACN essentials and state board standards.
• Develop and evaluate curricula; participate in policy formation affecting admissions, progression and graduation.
• Contribute to College of Nursing and University missions; engage in scholarly activities.
