Job summary

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s College of Nursing seeks an Adjunct Clinical Instructor (part-time) to contribute to educating the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The role includes undergraduate and/or graduate nursing education, clinical supervision, instruction, student assessment, and collaboration on clinical placements and curriculum revisions, with appointments made semester-by-semester.

Qualifications

• BSN with at least 5 years clinical experience.
• Licensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee prior to employment.
• Effective interpersonal skills and cultural competence.
• Ability to work with a diverse group of students and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Participate in program and course revisions.
• Teach graduate and undergraduate nursing courses as assigned
• Supervise nursing students as assigned
• Participate in the evaluation and ongoing enhancement of the curricula
• Apply evidence from best education practices to curriculum development and to teaching
• Participate in community and professional activities as appropriate
• Collaborate effectively with other faculty and staff members both within the College of Nursing and throughout the University and community to develop inter-professional academic, clinical, and research opportunities.
