Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to support our new Transitional Care Unit (TCU), which focuses on supporting boarding patients in the ED while they await inpatient beds.

Preferred Qualifications

• ED and/or Inpatient experience helpful

Responsibilities

• Promote patient and family-centered care in a healing environment. Educate patients and families on managing illness or injury, including post-treatment home care and medication administration.
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Engage in professional development.
• Develop, implement, and document individual care plans with goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient, family, or caregiver, following established standards of nursing care. Ensure communication of the care plan across the continuum.
• Use critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care. Consider patient preferences, values, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs.
• This is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is essential.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's Degree
• Licenses & Certifications: RN
• Experience: No experience required

Preferred Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Experience: Preferred but not required
