The CANM role emphasizes collaboration, safety, and staff development. A BSN is preferred; active RN licensure, BLS, and population-specific certifications are required.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse; acute care setting preferred.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse in Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certifications such as ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC may be required depending on patient population.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift operations to ensure high-quality care and optimal patient flow.
• Manage staffing assignments based on patient acuity and team skill sets.
• Coordinate patient flow with Administrative Supervisors and Care Coordinators to meet expected outcomes.
• Monitor patient status and ensure compliance with physician orders and hospital policies.
• Support frontline team members and promote safe, collaborative care.
