Baptist Health Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, AL is seeking a Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) to lead shift operations and ensure high-quality care and optimal patient flow on a busy unit.

The CANM partners with Nursing Operations leadership to coach the team, assign staffing, monitor patient status, and promote safety and patient satisfaction while maintaining regulatory readiness and a collaborative, supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; RN licensed in Alabama.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP/TNCC preferred depending on unit.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead staffing assignments for oncoming and off-going shifts based on patient acuity and staff skills; ensure patient care needs are met.
• Monitor patient flow and collaborate with Supervisors and Care Coordinators to achieve outcomes and maintain safety and quality standards.
