Job summary

North Shore Community Health (NSCH) is seeking a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager at our Peabody location to lead nursing staff and medical assistants, coordinate day-to-day operations, and supervise per diem RNs while fostering excellent patient care and a positive experience.

The role emphasizes operational efficiency, competency development, and collaboration with nursing leadership to drive quality improvement.

Qualifications

• RN with MA license; BSN preferred.
• 3 years clinical and programmatic experience.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
• Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
• Compliance training and vaccination requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct supervision and effective leadership through proper development and training of clinical nurses and medical assistants at our Peabody location
• Supervises and collaborates with the Peabody Lead MA who helps with scheduling medical assistants and leads onboarding for new MAs
• Coordinates all scheduling related to site clinical nurses and medical assistants, including vacation requests, coverage of absences, and daily assignments to ensure adequate coverage at the clinical sites
• Responsible for projects to improve operational efficiencies of all nursing functions, including best practice models and policy development
• Develops and implements tools to regularly assess key competencies and coordinates training initiatives including orientation and annual competency assessments
• Manages liaison with DON and Clinical & Operational Leaders for quality improvement activities
• Oversees infection control and promotes a safety culture by reporting safety events and risks promptly
• Reviews nursing documentation to ensure proper care provision and documentation; provides feedback
• Designs and monitors practice workflows to meet productivity goals
• Oversees supply inventory of vaccines, medications, and nursing supplies, including emergency equipment
• Provides clinical coverage as needed across sites
• Hires and trains new nurses and supports onboarding of new MAs
• Supervises per diem RNs to ensure compliance with NSCH policies
• Addresses performance or behavioral issues and manages corrective actions
• Manages personnel budget and coordinates HR postings for open positions
• Other duties as assigned
