Job summary

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of current experience in HMO or ambulatory settings with emphasis on patient education.
• Experience in IV Therapy is required.
• Proficiency in the use of applicable computer software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of clinical systems and processes.
• BSN is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, triage member calls and patient teaching, and assists with procedures as ordered.
• Coordinates patient care for hospital admissions, referrals, OB/IV care, and pediatric programs.
• Makes staffing schedules, assesses workloads, and manages time sheets and assignments.
• Calls in staff to ensure minimum staffing and coordinates with other clinical teams for coverage.
• Handles difficult situations and resolves member issues.
• Orients new staff, identifies training needs, and provides in-service training.
