• Assist with procedures based on provider orders and regulatory laws.
• Coordinate patient care for hospital admissions and specialty referrals.
• Create monthly staffing schedules and assign daily work to department staff.
• Assess workloads and make special assignments during peak and slow periods.
• Call in staff to meet minimum staffing requirements and authorize overtime.
• Resolve difficult and problematic work situations, including member issues.
• Serve as a resource for staff by answering questions and providing training.
• Assist in the development and revision of department procedures.
