Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse II to lead a Care Delivery Team and coordinate comprehensive nursing care for a designated patient group. The CN II role emphasizes clinical leadership, independent assessment, planning and evaluation, and mentorship of new staff.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a state-accredited school of nursing.
• Current licensure from the state of Ohio as an RN.
• 12 contact hours of continuing education annually including Fire Safety and CPR Re-certification; ACLS is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Direct care for a patient group and coordinate nursing care across the team.
• Precept new employees as assigned and demonstrate clinical leadership.
• Lead the Care Delivery Team as CN II, ensuring assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
• Report to Nurse Manager or Administrative Supervisor and supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and Patient Care Assistants.
