Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Nurse Clinician to work in a multidisciplinary environment, performing comprehensive patient assessments and nursing interventions with independent judgment and creativity. The role emphasizes education for patients and coordination across clinical units to ensure high-quality care.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate’s degree in Nursing, be a state-licensed RN, CPR certified, and bring at least 2 years of acute or ambulatory care experience.

Qualifications

• Nurse must be state-licensed and have CPR certification.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment. Ensure OSHA compliance and supervise equipment care.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings clearly in the medical record.
• Conduct routine nursing duties including phlebotomy, med administration, vital signs, and specimen handling.
• Interpret abnormalities, document interventions, and initiate appropriate remedial action.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate patient care and communicate with outside agencies as needed.
• Triage incoming calls using clinical assessment skills and document assessments.
• Manage urgent/emergent situations according to organizational protocols.
• Serve as a resource for staff and physicians and delegate tasks as appropriate.
• Follow all policies and contribute to policy improvements for patient care.
• Initiate and coordinate patient education; teach patients and staff as requested.
