Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Chicago seeks a Nurse Clinician to deliver high-quality patient care in a multidisciplinary setting. You will perform patient assessments via phone or in person, implement nursing interventions, and educate patients and families with clear return demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• State RN license in the employing state.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Minimum 2 years of acute or ambulatory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in the medical record.
• Provide pre-attending nursing care, including phlebotomy, medication administration and vital signs.
• Demonstrate clinical competency in procedures and document interventions clearly.
• Coordinate care with other departments and communicate with patients, families and outside agencies as needed.
• Triage calls and manage urgent/emergent situations per policy.
