Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, FL, seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions during the shift. You will lead staff, monitor care, and align with policies to deliver outstanding clinical outcomes.

Collaborate with leaders to improve throughput, discharge planning, staff development, and service delivery. The role requires FL RN license, 1+ year acute care, BLS within 30 days, and ACLS/others within 60

Qualifications

• RN license in FL or compact license.
• 1+ year of acute care experience, ER experience preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Nonviolent crisis intervention, PALS, Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of care quality in the unit in collaboration with management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to create teamwork that improves outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Operates nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds to improve engagement.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selection and staff training; supports performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and helps manage supplies and equipment.
