Job summary

HCA Florida Destin Emergency seeks a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions during shifts. The CNC directs, monitors and evaluates nursing care with the management team and serves as a resource for staff, aligning with the organization’s mission and values.

The role involves collaborating with management to improve outcomes, supporting patient-first initiatives, and guiding staff scheduling, training, and performance.

Qualifications

• RN license/certification required.
• ACLS within 90 days of start date.
• BLS within 30 days of start date.
• NCI within 90 days of start date.
• TNCC within 90 days of start date.
• Associate Degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care in the unit with management.
• Collaborates with experts and managers to foster teamwork that supports better outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when needed.
• Supports nursing strategies including hourly rounds and staff engagement initiatives.
• Recommends and implements actions related to interviewing, training, evaluation and staff development.
• Assists with staff scheduling and labor management according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and manages supplies and equipment.
