Job summary

HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care and unit coordination during the shift. You’ll collaborate with the management team to direct nursing care, mentor staff, and model the organization’s values to support exceptional outcomes.

The CNC will oversee patient placement, rounds with physicians, and timely execution of orders, while addressing education needs and coordinating care conferences.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required
• 2+ years of RN experience in an acute care OR environment
• RN Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of start
• American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Accept accountability for directing and overseeing staff roles on unit
• Coordinate patient placement within the unit according to acuity, skill mix and staff availability
• Assist in identifying and addressing educational needs of the unit
• Participate and direct patient care conferences, addressing such issues as patient discharge needs
• Assures that rounds are made with physicians
• Keep informed of patient condition changes, making appropriate clinical decisions
• Accountable for orders, assuring that they are appropriate and carried out in a timely manner

Education

Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree, BSN is preferred
