Job summary

HCA Florida Northwest Hospital in Florida is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to lead unit-based nursing care during your shift, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered outcomes in collaboration with the management team.

As CNC, you’ll direct, monitor and evaluate care, coach staff, support patient-first initiatives, and help with staffing, training and inventory to sustain operational excellence and exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Active RN license is required and ER experience preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NVCI certifications required within specified timelines.
• Emergency Department experience required.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality patient-centered care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of quality of patient care services.
• Collaborates with managers to create teamwork that improves outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Operationalizes nursing strategies, including hourly rounds and staff engagement.
• Provides recommendations on interviewing, selecting, and training staff; conducts evaluations.
• Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor according to productivity guidelines.
• Supports inventory control and equipment/supply management.
