Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking an experienced registered nurse to coordinate care for specific patient populations. You will act as a liaison among providers, departments, and schedulers to coordinate testing, referrals and testing logistics.

The role requires RN licensure (or multi-state eNLC), BSN preferred, and certification relevant to the specialized care. Two years RN or five years LPN experience is typical. 40 hours weekly, on-site at multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Current RN license issued by the state where services are provided or multi-state license through eNLC.
• BSN degree or higher as preferred education.
• Certification relevant to the specialized care to be provided.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plan of care and act as liaison between providers, departments, and schedulers.
• Provide hands-on nursing assistance, assist with procedures, medications, and specimen collection.
• Triaging patients and giving medical advice when applicable.
• Monitor patient appointments, testing, and labs for the target population.
• Assist with prior authorizations and patient education.
