Job summary

Providence Edmonds is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform assays accurately and timely on patient samples using automated and manual testing procedures. You will support physicians in diagnosis and treatment while upholding safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

You will maintain compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies and contribute to a culture of patient-focused care in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related discipline required.
• Nationally recognized laboratory credentials (MLS/MT) to be obtained upon hire.
• Certifications listed by the employer may include ASCP or AMT variants.
• Experience with automated and manual testing procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform assays accurately and timely on patient samples using automated and manual testing procedures.
• Maintain established departmental policies, procedures, safety and infection control standards.
• Ensure the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
