Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, medical laboratory science, clinical laboratory science, or chemical/physical/biological science.
• Current license to practice in the state (if applicable).
• ASCP, AMT or AAB certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Technologist with Maintenance Program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performs, develops and interprets routine and specialized laboratory testing within established timeframes.
• Performs quality control, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; documents actions taken.
• Adheres to regulatory guidelines and accreditation standards for laboratories.
• Participates in performance improvement, data analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Interacts with patients with respect, privacy and professional communication.
• Assists in duties as required by the department.
