Job summary

The role requires completion of a Medical Assistant program or equivalent, with certification pursued within specified timelines. CPR and background clearances are required, and travel between locations may be involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School/GED or completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Certification required within 120 days of hire if applicable.
• Preferred Associate's degree.
• CPR certification and background clearances required (Act 34/33/73 FBI).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the health care provider using a team-based approach.
• Prepare and room patients according to standardized workflows.
• Accurately obtain vital signs, document patient history and medication screening.
• Assist with depression screening tools and wellness visit screens.
• Review and update the medication list in the EHR and social history.
• Prepare exams, manage supplies, and sterilize instruments per policy.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures; may serve as a scribe.
• Document in the EHR and perform clerical duties; may travel between locations.

Education

High School / GED or Medical Assistant Program

Associate's Degree (Preferred)

CPR Certification

Background Clearances (Act 34/33/73 FBI)

Certification: CMA / RMA / CCMA (NHA, AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA)
