Zusammenfassung

Stormont Vail Health seeks a Patient Care Technician to join the care delivery team on a part-time, first shift. You will support RNs and LPNs by delivering delegated patient care interventions, assisting with examinations and procedures, and documenting patient information in electronic systems.

Qualified candidates have completed the first semester of an accredited nursing program or a medical assistant/patient care technician program.

Qualifikationen

• First-semester nursing program completed
• Medical assistant or patient care technician program completed
• CMA/CNA/EMT certifications may substitute for education requirements

Aufgaben

• Admit patients to exam rooms for visits and procedures.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Retrieve voicemails, document and route to licensed staff.
• Document medical information using electronic forms.
• Prepare and maintain patient records and charges, ensuring confidentiality.
• Coordinate patient services including labs, imaging, and home/acute care admissions.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Assist with referrals, prior-authorizations, and benefit investigations.
• Point of care testing and/or phlebotomy as indicated.
• Maintain cleanliness of rooms and equipment; restock.
• Attend staff meetings and comply with department requirements.
