Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Medical Assistant to support a team-based care approach. You will prepare patients, obtain vitals, document histories, and assist with exams under provider supervision.

You may act as a scribe with added training, and you will ensure charts are up to date in the EHR and that rooms are stocked and ready for visits. Occasional travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant Program.
• Certification within 120 days if not already certified; valid MA certs accepted.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating patient care under supervision of a health care provider.
• Prepare and room patients; obtain vitals; document history and screenings.
• Assist with examinations and procedures; may act as scribe with training.
• Documentation in the EHR; ensure supplies and room readiness.
• May travel between physician office locations as needed.
