Job summary

Bucksport Regional Health Center is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant Lead to oversee MA performance and daily clinical operations while continuing to provide hands-on MA support. The role models clinical staff and coordinates coverage, training, and quality measures.

The position requires a CMA with at least three years of experience, plus leadership or scheduling experience and strong teamwork. Expect collaboration with providers and other site staff in a medical office setting.

Qualifications

• At least three years of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant is required.
• Prior team leader, supervisory or scheduling experience is preferred.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and other employees.
• Ability to communicate and present information clearly.
• Ability to read, interpret, understand and apply clinical policies and procedures.
• Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions.
• Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.

Responsibilities

• Oversees clinical performances of medical assistants and arranges coverage for day-to-day operations to maximize productivity.
• Acts as a role model for clinical staff and provides training as needed.
• Participates in quality control and performance improvement activities.
• Maintains lab specimen handling, properly manages refrigerator temperatures, and checks expiration dates for medications and supplies.
• Supports risk management activities and compliance with MU/ACO/PCMH/UDS measures.
• May fill in at front desk or medical records as needed.
