Job summary

Mass General Brigham’s Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks a Medical Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical patient services. You will take vital signs, document information, schedule appointments, and assist care teams to ensure smooth patient flow. Onsite role with daily day shifts.

Qualifications include 1–2 years of MA or related clinical experience; a high school diploma or Associate's degree in Medical Assisting is preferred. BLS and CMA/NC certification are desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate's in Medical Assisting preferred.
• BLS Certification and National Certification preferred.
• Direct MA or medical field experience 1–2 years required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake and triage, take vital signs and record in medical record.
• Show patients to exam rooms and prepare equipment for providers.
• Explain procedures and medications to patients and provide education materials.
• Perform general office duties and coordinate with departments to aid patient flow.
• Collect specimens for testing and perform phlebotomy if competent.
• Support immunization inventory and vaccinate as certified or supervised.
