Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support clinical and non-clinical patient services. You will assist healthcare teams, take vital signs, document information, schedule appointments, and help manage patient flow under provider supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• BLS certification and CMA preferred.
• 1–2 years MA or medical field experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist junior Medical Assistants and participate in onboarding.
• Escort patients to examination rooms, prepare equipment, interview patients, obtain medical information, record vitals.
• Explain procedures, medications, diets, and physician instructions; organize educational materials.
• Perform general office duties and liaise with other departments, advocating for patients with a positive customer service approach.
• Collect blood, tissue, or other specimens; log and prepare them for testing; perform phlebotomy if competent.
• Maintain inventory of immunizations and check expiration dates.
• Provide immunizations as applicable with certification or experience.
• Support quality initiatives such as patient identifiers and hand hygiene.
