Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1-2 years direct MA experience or medical field work required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification preferred
• Experience in lieu of degree not accepted

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, document patient information, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow.
• Assist in examination and treatment under physician or advanced practitioner supervision.
• Explain procedures and medications to patients and provide educational materials.
• Perform general office duties and coordinate with departments to support patients.
• Collect specimens and prepare for testing; maintain immunization inventory and expiration dates.
• Support quality initiatives and hand hygiene improvements within the department.
