Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Supplemental Speech Pathologist to evaluate and rehabilitate patients of all ages with communication and oral‑pharyngeal disorders, helping them develop and maintain speech and swallowing abilities.

The role includes documenting progress, making recommendations, mentoring staff, and serving as a clinical resource within the department. A Master’s in Speech/Language Pathology and Texas licensure are required, with ASHA certification and BLS as well.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology required.
• Current license to practice Speech/Language Pathology in Texas required.
• American Speech-Language-Hearing Association certification required; Basic Life Support certification required.
• One year of experience preferred; includes mentoring staff and supervising clinical interns.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and rehabilitate patients with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Document findings, progress and communicate with patients and caregivers.
• Provide recommendations and assist with program development and staff training.
• Serve as clinical instructor to interns and mentors for staff.
