Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech/Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Texas license to practice Speech/Language Pathology; ASHA certification; Basic Life Support.
• One year of experience preferred; ability to mentor/train staff and supervise interns.
• Clinical leadership and program development responsibilities within the department.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients with referrals and performs comprehensive evaluations.
• Develops goals and a plan of care based on evaluations.
• Implements and monitors speech-language pathology treatment programs.
• Reassesses status and updates goals and plans as needed.
• Documents in the medical record and communicates with patients, families and colleagues.
• Serves as clinical instructor for interns and CFY candidates.
• Provides guidance to staff, students, and rehab technicians; participates in program development.
• Promotes compassionate and personalized experiences while adhering to MH policies.
