Job summary

WAVERLYHILLS seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients, document services, and train facility staff. You will collaborate with physicians, families, and the health team to optimize patient outcomes.

The role includes supervising CFY/Speech Clinical Fellows, participating in care conferences, and ensuring compliance with state practice acts and payer requirements. Strong communication and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an SLP in the state where services are provided.
• Completed 350 clock hours of supervised clinical practicum.
• At least 9 months of supervised full-time SLP services after completing degree.
• Successfully completed a national examination in SLP approved by the HHS Secretary.
• Proficient in Casamba and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of referral.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans from referring physician.
• Treat patients per the approved treatment plan.
• Supervise CFY/Speech Clinical Fellows and student programs as applicable.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and health team members.
• Participate in care conferences and staff training sessions.
• Maintain documentation per state and payer requirements.
• Instruct families and staff on maintenance programs and discharge planning.
