Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related science with experience; or an associate degree with relevant experience.
• Eligible for certification in Medical Technology or subspecialty certification; certification preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory theory, testing methods and quality control processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic (waived, moderate and high complexity) testing on blood and other specimens.
• Calibrate, run performance checks and maintain clinical laboratory instruments.
• Prepare reagents and media as prescribed; document quality control procedures.
• Supervise students and new staff; participate in continuing education and quality improvement.
