Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Medical Technician (MLT) for Per Diem Night Shift at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Hazleton. You will perform waived to high complexity testing using established procedures and instrumentations to support patient care.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s Degree in medical laboratory technology or a CLIA-Grandfathered diploma, with <1 year of experience or a clinical internship. Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or specialized diploma meeting CLIA grandfathered MLT rules.
• Less than 1 year of experience with a clinical laboratory internship.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific documents.
• Ability to read, understand, and speak basic English.
• Demonstrated dependability and flexibility in meeting scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs high, moderate, or waived laboratory testing in the assigned department.
• Utilizes laboratory instrumentation per SOPs and validates results.
• Monitors and reports quality control and trouble-shoots instrument issues.
• Provides orientation and training to new staff or students.
• Maintains equipment and performs preventive maintenance as required.
