AHMC is seeking a Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist to act as a technical consultant and direct supervisor of laboratory personnel, managing performance of all laboratory testing. The role develops policies, maintains quality control practices, and ensures safety and accreditation compliance within the lab.

The position requires a CLS license in California, a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, and offers leadership responsibilities and oversight of all testing and POCT coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in medical technology or related field; required.
• Five years' clinical laboratory experience; preferred.
• Two years' leadership experience; preferred.
• Valid CLS license in CA; required in CA.

Responsabilités

• Oversees all laboratory testing and coordinates all point of care testing (POCT).
• Establishes the laboratory's test performance characteristics, including precision, accuracy, reference ranges and reportable ranges.
• Coordinates equipment and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration program to ensure proper working order.
• Manages staffing to ensure coverage.
• Oversees quality control, quality assurance and preventive maintenance activities for the assigned section.
