Qualifications

• Clinical laboratory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Employs positive patient identification procedures and handles specimens from collection to storage.
• Performs testing across chemistry, hematology, microbiology and related areas following QA policies.
• Reviews and validates results, documents findings and communicates critical values to clinicians.
• Maintains equipment, inventories reagents and assists with maintenance and calibration.
• Trains and supervises trainees, laboratory assistants and clerks as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
