Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates, and monitors laboratory tests within established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and reports them according to policy.
• Performs calibration, maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment.
• Ensures quality control and quality assurance per protocol and takes corrective action when indicated.
• Collects specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients according to protocol.
• Provides training and guidance to staff and students.
