Role Responsibilities:

As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist III, you will be responsible for:

• Performing complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis and treatment, analyzing and ensuring accurate test results, maintaining sophisticated instruments, and monitoring quality control and assurance programs.
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards of regulatory agencies and managing special projects.

Key Duties:

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity tests, and analyze test results for accuracy.
• Evaluate and recommend new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost-benefit, and revenue potential, and communicate findings to management.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and serve as a resource to internal and external customers.
• Manage assigned projects, including planning, resource coordination, timeline management, and reporting progress to management.
• Implement quality control procedures, troubleshoot issues, and take corrective actions as necessary, communicating relevant information to supervisors.
• Perform preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education: Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Licenses and Certifications:

• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification is waived for those with over 10 years of laboratory experience.
