Job Description

Principal Investigator, Ze'ev Ronai, Ph.D, is seeking a motivated Research Associate III to join his team!

The Research Associate III works closely with the PI, providing technical and administrative support in large or multi-project labs. The incumbent may be tasked with supervisory activities, administrative leadership, and technical expertise. Responsibilities include developing hypotheses, planning investigative steps, reviewing relevant literature, coordinating lab and clinical activities, managing budgets, preparing grant proposals, and creating presentations. This position does not involve generating grant funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Providing clinical/research support, including data analysis, hypothesis development, programming, and troubleshooting.
  • Organizing clinical/research trials in collaboration with the PI, sponsors, and funding sources.
  • Monitoring compliance with safety standards and procedures.
  • Analyzing data and preparing scientific findings for publication as an author or co-author.
  • Making independent presentations.
  • Providing system administration and maintenance for the local network.
  • Leading and training Research Lab Assistants, Research Fellows, lower-level Research Associates, and support staff, with possible supervisory duties assigned by the PI.
  • Orienting new Research Fellows and Scientists to lab operations and procedures.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required; MS or PhD in biomedical sciences or related field preferred.
  • At least 3 years of research experience in a relevant area.
  • Technical expertise in areas such as Molecular/Cellular Biology, Neuroscience, Engineering, or Mass Spectrometry.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interaction with peers, patients, physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with mice colonies is highly preferred.
