Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity tests, and analyze results for accuracy.
• Evaluate and recommend new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, costs, and revenue potential.
• Ensure compliance with accrediting agencies and serve as a resource within and outside the department.
• Manage projects, develop plans, coordinate resources, and communicate progress to management.
• Perform quality control management, including running controls, evaluating data, documenting, and taking corrective actions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot, and resolve issues proactively.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.

Licenses and Certifications

• MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW). Certification waived for those with over 10 years of lab experience.
