**Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist**

**Work location:** Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231
**Work hours:** Full-time, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

**Here’s What You Need**
· Bachelor's Degree Medical Technology, Applied Technology, Clinical Lab Science or Chemical, Physical or Biological Science required
· Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program required
· Four years’ experience in a Medical Laboratory required
· Two years of hospital lab experience preferred
· Two years of leadership experience preferred
· Licensed MT(ASCP) - Medical Technologist 90 Days required or MLS(ASCP) - Medical Lab Scientist 90 Days required or other AMT, AAB, HHS, NCA, HEW, CLS- CA, FL, NY state license, Philippine Board of Technical Technology Upon Hire required or M(ASCP) - Microbiology if working in Microbiology Upon Hire required or BB (ASCP) - Blood Banking if working in Blood Bank Upon Hire required
**What You Will Do**
+ Supervise personnel of Clinical Laboratory Assistants to manage performance, complete audits, and monitor completion of assignments
+ Provide processing coverage on days when staffing is below minimum
+ Serve as a technical expert to educate staff, respond to nursing requests, and collaborate with other departments and teams regarding collections
+ Manage specimen management operations, including collection accuracy, appropriate resources, and reducing inventory costs
+ Develop and engage laboratory assistants, providing support to result in a high retention rate, ensure successful integration of new team members
+ Perform interviews, evaluations, and competencies to meet laboratory and hospital compliance requirements
+ Assist in creating material, timelines, and deliver training to execute the successful rollout process improvement initiatives
+ Analyze and monitor SPMGT quality goals to ensuring collections are completed efficiently and with high levels of quality
+ Create and manage schedules to ensure appropriate resources
+ Assist the supervisor in projects as required
