Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing and testing independently for moderate and high complexity tests, analyze results, and ensure accuracy.
• Evaluate and suggest new methods, instrumentation, and technology based on customer needs, cost, and revenue considerations.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation agencies and serve as a resource within and outside the department.
• Manage projects including planning, resource coordination, timeline management, and reporting progress.
• Practice quality control management, including running controls, data evaluation, documentation, and corrective actions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot issues, and demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Licenses and certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), etc., are required unless waived by experience.
