Methodist Healthcare System is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to perform complex laboratory testing for diagnosis and treatment. You will handle specimen processing, analyze results, and maintain QA/QC programs while ensuring timely skill development and cross-training within the department.

The role requires a high school diploma or higher, with ASCP/AMT certifications or equivalent licensure, and may prefer a BS in clinical lab science.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent), with 6 years of clinical lab experience OR
• B. Associates Degree with minimum 2 years experience in Clinical Lab setting -OR
• C. Bachelor’s Degree required with clinical lab experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs specimen processing and testing independently to include moderate and high complexity testing.
• Analyzes test results - demonstrates knowledge of pathological processes with correlation of disease states and test results.
• Understands, performs, and practices preventive maintenance; troubleshoots and takes corrective action.
• Understands, performs, and practices quality control to include running controls, evaluating data, documentation of data, and taking corrective action.
• Reviews, writes or modifies departmental procedures or policies.
• Meets timeliness for gaining skills; completes competency checklist; cross‑training for flexible staffing.

Formation

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate degree in Clinical Lab Science

Bachelor’s degree in clinical lab science (preferred)
