Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with 6 years of clinical lab experience.
• Associate's Degree with 2+ years in Clinical Lab setting.
• Bachelor's Degree with clinical lab experience preferred.
• Certifications MT(ASCP)/MLS(ASCP)/MT(AMT)/MT(AAB)/CLS(NCA)/MT(HEW)/CLT(NCA)/MLT(ASCP)/MLT(AMT) required or waived after 5 years of lab experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen processing and testing independently to include moderate and high complexity testing.
• Analyzes test results with correlation to disease states and test results.
• Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of instruments; seeks guidance as needed.
• Performs and manages quality control including running controls and documenting data.
• Reviews, writes or modifies departmental procedures or policies.
• Meets competency requirements and participates in cross-training to ensure flexible staffing.
