Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Clinical Laboratory setting.
• Licenses/certifications: MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), MT(AMT), MT(AAB), CLS(NCA), MT(HEW), MLT(ASCP), MLT(HEW).

Responsibilities

• Performs specimen processing and testing independently, including moderate and high complexity testing.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment; performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Monitors quality control and assurance programs; documents data and communicates QC information to supervisor.
• Evaluates new methods, instrumentation, and technology for potential use.
• Ensures compliance with accrediting bodies and acts as a resource for customers within and outside the department.
• Leads assigned projects with planning, resource coordination, timelines, and progress updates.
